REENACTOR REGISTRATION FOR EXPERIENCE

THE BATTLE OF PRINCETON 2025

The Princeton Battlefield Society invites you and your unit to participate in the Experience the Battle of Princeton reenactment on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at the Princeton Battlefield State Park. Formations will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the battle reenactment will begin at 9:45 a.m. Reenactors may begin arriving on site at 7:00 a.m. Early arrivals are strongly recommended to guarantee onsite parking.

Please note that in conjunction with the other sites hosting living history and events and reenactments relative to the Ten Crucial Days Campaign, it will be a requirement for all military personnel to exhibit no more than three days growth of facial hair in keeping with military mandates and general societal practices of the time period. There will be no exceptions to this rule.

We will provide an honorarium of $25 per reenactor to each unit based on actual attendance.

Each Artillery unit participating will receive an additional $350 honorarium for bringing a field piece.

Each Dragoon unit participating will receive an additional $200 honorarium for every horse brought to and ridden at the event.

One check will be sent to each unit’s designated contact following the event.

We bring the following to your attention:

  1. Advance registration is mandatory for this event. No walk-on registrations will be accepted. Registration for the event will close on Monday, December 16, 2024.
  2. Since parking at the battlefield is at a premium, we ask all reenactors to share a ride if possible.  Carpooling will greatly assist us in alleviating parking strains.
  3. Artillery units will be given priority for proximity parking and horse trailers will be provided with reserved parking spaces.
  4. Parking for reenactors will be in the grassy area adjacent to the battlefield.  Princeton Battlefield Society volunteers will guide parking.
  5. We will have coffee and hot chocoloate available for all reenactors free of charge before the event.  Pastries, coffee, and hot chocolate will be
available free of charge for all reenactors behind the Clarke House after the event.
  6. As in years past, a wreath-laying ceremony at the Colonnade-Memorial Grove will follow the reenactment (approximately 11:45) and you are invited to participate.

Please register and provide a current copy of your unit's proof of liability insurance via the form below. Also, please be sure to answer the questions regarding stipend payment for your unit.  Checks will be mailed to all designated unit contacts within two weeks following the event as we have done in previous years.

Following registration, additional information will be shared with all unit points of contact in the leadup to the event.  In the meantime, if you have questions, please direct them to:

We are excited to host Experience the Battle of Princeton once again and hope you will join us.
