Experience history where it happened. The Princeton Battlefield Society hosts a variety of educational programs, public commemorations, living history events, and guided tours throughout the year—bringing the Revolutionary War to life on the very ground where it was fought.
Our events are designed to educate, inspire, and engage all audiences—from history enthusiasts and students to families and first-time visitors.
Featured Annual Events
Experience the Battle of Princeton (January)
Join us each January to commemorate the Battle of Princeton with an immersive experience featuring battle reenactments, ceremonial tributes, historian talks, and family-friendly programming. This is our signature event and a powerful way to honor the legacy of those who fought for American independence.
Mercer Oak Award Reception (Spring)
Celebrate individuals who have made significant contributions to historic preservation, public history, or the memory of the American Revolution. The Mercer Oak Award is one of our most prestigious annual honors.
Park Clean-Up Days (April & October)
Support battlefield preservation by joining volunteers for a day of stewardship and community service. Help maintain the landscape and protect this sacred site for future generations.
Cadwalader Lecture Series (Ongoing)
Learn from leading scholars, historians, and authors as they present original research and insights into the people, strategy, and meaning of the Battle of Princeton and the Ten Crucial Days.

A call for Volunteers! Join the Princeton Battlefield Society’s Spring Clean Up Day team on Saturday, April 25. (Rain date is May 2.) We will help prepare the Park for Spring and Summer visitors and recreationalists after a long Winter. We ask volunteers to join us from 11 am-1 pm, with a pizza party afterwards.

The Mercer Oak Award represents the spirit and heritage of America’s fight for independence. It reflects what visitors to the Princeton Battlefield still feel today—the enduring meaning of the freedom and independence for which Washington, Mercer, and their troops fought to secure.
