George Washington’s Revenge: The 1777 New Jersey Campaign

Explore the pivotal months following the Battle of Princeton in this engaging presentation by award-winning historian, author, and lecturer Arthur S. Lefkowitz. Drawing from his book George Washington’s Revenge: The 1777 New Jersey Campaign, Lefkowitz examines the American Revolution in New Jersey during the first six months of 1777. Join us as he traces Washington’s retreat route from Princeton to Morristown, his strong defensive position in the Watchung Mountains, and the Battle of Short Hills. Lefkowitz will also discuss his latest book, George Washington’s Dilemma, which tells the remarkable story of approximately 200 French volunteers who came to America at their own expense before the American-French alliance and were commissioned as officers in the Continental Army. :chatgpt-content-reference{index=”0″}
