By any measure, Americans are forgetting their past. The Museum of the American Revolution
has reported “83% of American adults don’t “have a basic understanding of the American
Revolution.” Only 20% of 8th graders are “proficient” in history.
The nation can’t survive this ignorance and the Princeton Battlefield Society urges businesses,
non-profits and ordinary men and women to join us in our extraordinary fight to educate new
generations of Americans by preserving history, engaging communities, and promoting heritage tourism. Our collaborative efforts bring visitors to the battlefield, drive engagement, and inspire the next generation.
