The Princeton Public Library presents David Price, a friend and member of the Princeton Battlefield Society and Historical Interpreter at Pennsylvania’s Washington Crossing Historic Park. Storytelling at its best David will present highlights from his bookRESCUING THE REVOLUTION: Unsung Patriot Heroes and the Ten Crucial Days of America’s War for Independence – vivid portraits of these winter patriots of the Ten Crucial Days Campaign of Trenton and Princeton January 25th, 1776 to January 3rd, 1777 The victories achieved by the American cause during the events during the Ten Crucial Days Campaign in Trenton and Princeton in the war for independence from Great Britain were the product of bold and imaginative leadership on the part of George Washington and his fellow generals, miscalculation by the enemy, and the fortuitous effects of weather as it related to the movement of troops and battlefield conditions. But those storied triumphs were also due to the heroic feats of people less well known to history who remain the “unsung heroes” behind our nation’s struggle for independence during its darkest days. David Price brings life to these untold stories. David will sign copies of his book after the lecture.
