The Princeton Battlefield Society thanks you for registering for

EXPERIENCE THE BATTLE OF PRINCETON

on January 7, 2024

INFORMATION FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION

  • Our reenactment will start at 9:45 am and will end about 11:00 am. Reenactors and living historians will be available to talk with you afterwards.
  • Our memorial wreath-laying ceremony will start about 11:30 am at the Colonnade. (Mercer Road will be closed so you will not have traffic to worry
    about.)
  • The historic Thomas Clarke House and museum will be open after the reenactment.
  • Please sign in at our pre-registration table and receive your 2024 souvenir.

PARKING INFORMATION:

  • Parking inside the Park and on local streets is limited. Reenactors, artillery units, and horses will have parking preference inside the Park as will the disabled and our volunteers.
  • Police will be at the entrance to the Park and along Mercer Road for safety purposes and to control traffic. Parking volunteers will also be managing the entrance and inside parking.
  • Parking is available, but limited, along Mercer Road and side streets. Since we need space for British reenactors to cross Mercer Road (during reenactment) and to allow for shuttle busses to discharge spectators, “no parking” traffic cones will be in place.
  • Mercer Road, between Lovers Lane and Quaker Road, will be closed to thru traffic between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm. Police will redirect traffic.
  • We will have shuttle busses from the West Garage/Princeton Train Station to the Battlefield and return. Location information and a schedule of departure/return times will be forwarded to you.
  • We encourage local residents to walk to the Park. We will also arrange with local institutions to use their parking lots. This information will be forwarded to you.

And to make your experience as enjoyable and memorable as possible:

  • Free coffee and hot chocolate (Wawa) is available.
  • Restrooms are available onsite.
  • There will be a “General Store” of souvenirs, books and gifts.
  • We encourage photography.

If you are coming from outside the general area, please go to the Princeton-Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce website
(www.visitprinceton.org) for information on hotels, restaurants, and other resources.
